Even if you're seated, holding a ticket, you can still get kicked off a plane. Here's why.http://nyti.ms/2orFzj7

Well maybe the US needs a Passenger Rights bill like what is working it's way through Canada's parliament? Overbooking is fraud. @united

Capitalism. We. The people. We'd just need to choose one day and call it 'no fly day'. A single day of significantly reduced revenue...

this should not be legal, why the airline has all the benefits and the customer is unprotected?

Actually, the article only says he can be denied boarding... Once he's on the plane they can't do anything, he's already on.

this is a good point, I still can not believe that if the airline needed the seats had to wait until the people have already boarded

We shouldn't even have to talk about something like this, it should be obvious. But that's what happens when a country is run by capitalism.

FALSE. United already are taking responsibility bc it was illegal. He had a reserved confirmed seat taken away for employees on stand-by.

I have a feeling certain areas of the media are trying to demonise the victim of this incident. I just don't understand why...

Airports are fascist. Guilty til proven innocent. Forced TSA molestation & irradiation scanning. Selling seats you dont have is called FRAUD

Likely the baggage was "allowed" to stay on the flight.
