Just did the math. A can of Folgers makes 20 pots of 12 cups, even if you amortize the cost of a Mr. Coffee it's less than 5 cents a cup.

It's not just the coffee. Coffee beans are expensive. Then there is the cup, various sugars, creams, syrups, milks, the machines, the rent.

Coffee used to be $.10 about two generations ago. $1 sounds like a good price, all that extra crap people put in it excluded
