The flight was NOT overbooked. United wanted to send 4 employees to the destination airport. This was outrageous.

When he said he's a doctor who needs to see patients they should've said, "We understand" & moved on to asking another passenger to deplane.

The airline should have increased the incentives until enough people left VOLUNTARILY.

@united decided deadheading their own staff was important enough to physically assault a paid passenger. -
Gate Agent incompetence might have played a role (as a pilot, I've seen it a lot)

True. According to the CEO, staff approached the gate to board after the flight was boarded. Poor planning led to serious consequences
