What possible reason, other than fear on the part of men, would there be to not make this a completely mixed sport?

I agree that a sport like snooker should be mixed. Like poker. Don't know if it's fear tho. No. 1 woman vs No. 57 man? All in one league.
-
Could just add them all together and create a two tier league based on skill rather than chromosome.
-
Don't even need tiers. Just put all in one league based on skill.
-
Well then, there you go...we just solved a problem that may actually not have existed...

All depends on how much money she can bring in, countable by number of fans and advertising. Might not be fair, but that is the way it works
-
It is fair to pay someone based on how many people they bring in. Just like boxing, or MMA, etc. More women should watch her play.

Because comparing women's snooker to men's snooker is the same thing as comparing New Mills AFC to FC Barcelona.

She probably gets paid less because of the lack of spectators or interest.

This is simple. Nobody watches, thusly nobody advertises, thusly nobody makes money. Guess the viewers are sexist, huh?

How about all sports have just one comp? Then money would go to the winners. Then there could be no sexism.
-
Compensation should be based on the money generated. Ex tennis M & W generate same but WNBA loses money NBA makes money.
