They aren't mandating anything they're only working with firms who meet the standards

No one said it's illegal. It is discrimination and quotas based on something other than ability. It is a mandate. Simple facts.

In deciding which law firms to work with, this is one of the requirements. Again, like choosing only green companies.

Yes. Agreed. Like choosing to only do business with green companies. Or, like choosing to only to bake wedding cakes for heterosexuals.

Choosing a company to work with isn't the same as barring a customer. But I don't have an issue with either, if that was your point

It was. Different perspective. Choosing = barring if you have to turn one away due to quotas or mandates forcing you to choose the other.

Then every purchase you make is "barring" one store because you prefer another lol. In which case it's meaningless

Slowly but surely, meritocracy is being buried under an avalanche of quotas and discrimination of deserving candidates.

Surely you are not suggesting that there are not sufficiently qualified women and minority attorneys to work on these files?

Exactly NOT what I mean. By imposing a quota of sorts, the inference is "you only got it because you're X or Y", even if you deserved it.

What happened to the best qualified for the job? Is it now the best woman? The best POC? The best Jew? SJW ideology gone awry.
