        We cut our cable to the bare bones, lost digital phone. I have cancer, cell phones are life savers.

        Land lines are equally or more expensive than cell/broadband where we live in Kansas.

        They only offer local calls where I live, and long distance in state is charged by the minute.

        We have local calls with one company, intra-state calls with another, and long distance with a third because FCC regs.
