i wonder what the heck they think the distinction between "unpopular" and "offensive" speech is. neither is objective.
What's "offensive" is totally subjective, which is why ALL speech is protected or NONE of it is. Couldn't be any simpler.
Wouldn't the better question be should they be allowed to deal with the consequences of stating unpopular opinions?
I think the majority of people believe in freedom of speech. But HS students probably aren't thinking about criticism
