@driven_by_data I don't know. How about those hex binned proportional maps?
idk, looking at the various cartograms pub'ed last night, I challenge the notion that they're easier to read in this case
not easier, but the weight of London and Scotland are better represented http://www.theguardian.com/politics/ng-interactive/2016/jun/23/eu-referendum-live-results-and-analysis …pic.twitter.com/IQbEbOffdA
that’s why we called out London and added pop. figs for regions. Area comparisons are hard, but even harder with irreg. shapes
I know, and it’s true, but the callout doesn’t help figuring out how big is London compared to the rest.
which is why there is a table of regions telling us that 8.5 million people live in London, more than Scotland + Wales combined
oooh I hadn’t seen that. You’re trying to make me think, Gregor
@RachelPrtnr I am so proud of how Scotland voted :)
@CherishAWANI Translation: The emotional, less educated "more ulu" won out. Sounds familiar.
@PsychologyBrief 101% in Wales? Come on...sort your stats out.
could you provide a more localised map, so I can go round to peoples' houses and and shout "WHYYYYY?!". Thanks.
Scotland has a first minister not a prime minister that's England.
Will Scotland, and part of Northern Ireland ask for another referendum?
kind of. Scotland will likely ask for independence and join the EU
same innuendoed..
