Mommy loves you. She doesn't care enough to keep an eye on you in a crowded place, but she loves you.

The root of our problem is that we still entrap wild animals for entertainment. What's that about?

There was a similar incident and in that case the child was recovered and the gorilla lived,.

I'm glad the boy's okay, but where were his parents?? The animal's death and boy's fall were completely avoidable.

human > gorilla. Yes tragic but they had to save the kid. They did the right thing! Thank you
@CincinnatiZoo -
kid wasn't in any danger so there was no "saving" to do. Thus, they did the wrong thing.
-
no danger!?!?

boy sure hope you dont have kids.. 500lbs wild ape yanks 4 yr old around but thats not danger...

-
im sure they just build the enclosures just for optimal viewing experience.. Nothing to do with danger!
-
he wasn't whipped, he was dragged around and its common gorilla behavior. The zookeeper even stated the kid was in no danger

love all these super judgmental comments about the parents. Children can sometimes slip away in the blink of an eye.
-
Right. I'm so glad I was perfect as a parent
