I did the rounds of the pounds. Couldn't find a suitable dog as most couldn't be with our cats.

every time I hear someone say, "oh, he's a rescue" or "I rescued him," I want to ask, did pull him from a burning building?

rescued - in terms of pets - means saved from death row. 4 million dogs are euthanized at shelters yrly.
