Religion conditions people to believe that for which no evidence exists.

Many religious people would say that the evidence is all around us and that to exclude the possibility of the Divine in scientific inquiry is willfully ignorant, even disingenuous.

In the UK if you declare a room for faith at home you get a tax return. Unsure if it's the same deal in the US.
