Thirty-one former chiefs of staff to Democratic senators have written an open letter calling for “repeal or reform” of the filibuster, saying it no longer serves its original purpose and is now being abused as a way to block and stall legislation.https://nyti.ms/3kIZcAC

So funny it goes away when rich people want a judge or to avoid taxes. The filibuster is the stop sign for the 99%.

It was created to block civil rights legislation, it was never a good thing

Indeed 10 yrs ago, Mitch McConnell (MM) prolonged a recession—& caused families to suffer homelessness & hunger—to -wound Obama politically -potentiate MM's own position If you think MM wldnt nix the filibuster if he -won the Senate -thought doing so wld get him more power:pic.twitter.com/H28kv8NooA

When was the last time the Senate took an action that was good for the country? This letter will change nothing.

I don't think the problem is the filibuster. The problem is the legislators that are more interested in playing political games than negotiating the best outcomes possible for their constituents Every party-line vote says something is really wrong in the House/Senate.

For a top-down approach to managing, this seems to stand in the way of horizontally standing by People for their interests.
