$600 weekly unemployment benefits expire for millions of Americans today. —Democrats want to continue the payments through January. —Republicans propose reducing it to $200 per week through September, with a plan to set total benefits at 70% of lost income after that.pic.twitter.com/pGK0gvZofK

Both parties include a 2nd round of stimulus checks for individuals. The Democratic plan is more costly, because it offers more aid and would allow undocumented immigrants to receive money.pic.twitter.com/0fKcQOzgLX

Both plans contain other line items. Some Republican senators were surprised to learn that their plan included $1.75 billion for a new FBI headquarters — a White House demand without a connection to the pandemic.pic.twitter.com/wXzizV9Tk1

It's not a coincidence. Trump stopped construction on the new FBI building and now is trying to get this one upgraded because one of his properties is across the street from the Hoover building.

Higher education lost so much money sending students home for an entire semester. Especially small & not-for-profit schools. Would be nice if they specify some money specifically for those schools.
