Sugar was oil, but for people.
America was built on racism.
They were slaves when they got into the boat in Africa. It was at the destination point, America, where they were freed. Look at, who keeps rattling the chains, for a clue about who will not let them go.
And slaves when they got off only to be treated 10x worse...deal with reality
I don't get how this is still up for debate. Europe and the USA are rich ONLY because of slavery. Our wealth was built on the backs of unpaid labour.
