Scientists are warning that if human beings continue to mine the world’s wildernesses for resources and convert them into cities and farms at the pace of the previous century, the planet’s few remaining wild places could disappear in decadeshttps://nyti.ms/2Qh8EsI

Yes, we know, scientists are always warning. What scientists don't do is remind everyone that humans are clever and solve problems. We are not doomed. The world is not ending, and humans aren't destroying the planet.

More alarming is in about 10 years at the rate we’re going, the damage will be irreversible and uncontrollable. If the ice caps melt they’re not coming back for thousands of years. Once they melt it’s just a domino effect of one side effect after another.

Population growth, migration, density will stress most resilient places, may make some less resilient unlivable. Local Guv at risk

Migration has traditionally been associated with war, famine & corrupt governments. But it will likely accelerate, too, as Open Society movements to deligitimize borders as little more than nationalist holdovers -- obstructions to a cosmopolitan global citizenry -- gain traction.

We already have climate refugees from other US states and nations. Borders can't stop climate risk. Drought, flood, heat.

There should be maximums on how many children a woman can have. Should be 3 as a maximum. I literally get irritated when I hear a woman has 12 kids. It’s irresponsible.
