In Opinion Wajahat Ali writes, "It’s precisely the bigotry and hate that has been directed toward Islam — including in remarks and tweets by President Trump — that has motivated so many Muslims to enter the political arena"https://nyti.ms/2Dc97ty

Hmm when you capitalize on anti-Islamic fear in your "ironic" headline and coincidentally all the comments are variations on "why would we ever want Muslims in roles of leadership?" Well done homies

To be clear, Muslims represent about 3% of the American population. The notion that they are a burgeoning political demographic or force seems questionable, no?

Correction: Muslims make up 1% of American citizens.

Can we not have a better headline? How about "Concerned US citizens run for office". You are a nationally regarded newspaper. Act like one.. not some yellow trash journalism.

Muslims motivated by hate are not real Muslims. They are small souls with no faith or ethics who just want to exploit Western fascination with an 'exotic' culture for their petty goals be it money or a political appointment. Sad!

Trump has nothing to do with it! It's simple: Muslims allways interfere in the countries they conquered. The purpose hasn't change in centuries: take over, and impose the Jihad! Trump is the only one who oppose this! You are shooting the worg pianist!
