In an era of rising xenophobia, Uganda has decided to welcome refugees — settling them on small plots of land and building facilities they share with Ugandan neighbors.https://nyti.ms/2D9D8tN

Oh! How un-American of those Ugandans. Their welcoming policy coincide with the Christians most sacred precepts. In the U.S.A., we prefer to discuss Bible teachings rather than live them.

Personally I find it really snarky to attack the USA and Trump with this article pushing "open borders" using Uganda as an example. These refugees are being tracked & Uganda gets funding for taking them in by globalist organizations. Where do you think UN gets money from? USA!

"Xenophobia," here we go again. Keeping people from entering a country illegally has NOTHING to do with a "phobia." It is called national security and the right of a sovereign nation to protect its boarders, citizenry and to enforce laws on its own soil.

Do you know why folks are leaving Honduras? It’s because half of the nation’s arable land is owned by two US corporations. The US government has intervened several times to support the interests of those corporations

The government of Honduras has, for a century, been controlled by small elites that profit at the expense of their fellow citizens. Most of the nation’s farmers are sharecroppers, unable to build wealth or even basic security for their families

The US government spent hundreds of millions militarizing Honduras during the Contra war of the 1980s, and systematically helped the Honduran govt cover up the torture and killing of anyone who opposed this policy

So if you think these people are poor because of their choices and not our decision to look away while they die so we can save a dollar on a bunch of bananas, you are wrong

And most importantly, if you think their love and dreams are less fierce than your own, their pain less intense, their souls less worthy, then you are wrong. We are commanded to help and called to love by our Lord. I am sorry if that is inconvenient
