Many political scientists say that policies making it easier to vote would make American democracy more representative. Others aren’t convinced it’s a problem that the voting population doesn’t resemble the American population.https://nyti.ms/2D9Tq68

Most people don't vote because they are just fed up with government. Politicians have lost our trust. When someone we vote for just doesn't cut it.

And that is how they get you. Get power. Change the laws to make it harder next time when you start to see the road but now you have been purged from the rolls and have no say

Yes, 18. Local authorities will send a reference which must be shown at the polling place.

pretty sure we've got groups out there who would prefer that the voting population did not represent the American population.

You're absolutely right. There are lots of people who have bigger issues. Not everyone has a car, for one. Actually, if that surprises you, I think we're done here.

We need a parliament so we actually have more representation that mirrors our demographics.

I have options. Most democracies throughout the world utilize a parliament. Only three countries employ federalism.

🇦🇺In Australia they use paper ballots, vote on a weekend & have a BBQ at polling places. Mandatory vote = 95% turnout (2016). 🇺🇸In America they vote on old slot machines, on a Tuesday & only if your vote hasn't been suppressed in your gerrymandered district. 55% turnout (2016).

Right so uninformed people show up for food and after eating they vote as an afterthought without any thought about what or who they are voting for. Voting should be the priority not getting free food
