Until 2 months ago, the rabbi at the Tree of Life synagogue rarely carried his phone with him on the sabbath. But a security expert told him he needed to. Because of that training, the rabbi was the first person to call the police.https://nyti.ms/2Q3hZUW

why does that matter? mental illness and political ideologies aren’t mutually exclusive. I don’t care if he was screaming I LOVE OBAMA — he shouldn’t have an AR-15 ya dingus

You guys are HELLBENT on blaming this story on the dead. Should they have had a gun?! Did they leave their doors unlocked?! Did they call police fast enough?!?!

This synagogue shooting shouldn't have occurred; the barometric pressure in the hurricane rhetoric of hate in America has been at the level of a category 5, pushing the levees of old-fashioned ideologies over its banks. We pray for our country.

The Tree of Life synagogue routinely has armed security present during the holidays. If only they were there on Saturday maybe some more people would be alive.
