In Opinion Jonathan Greenblatt, the chief executive of the Anti-Defamation League, writes, "This was the deadliest anti-Semitic attack in American history. While the horror of this massacre is shocking, it is not entirely surprising."https://nyti.ms/2DaBEPY

When public figures use anti Semitic rhetoric in political ads that everyone can see night after night, this becomes mainstream news. We become desensitized to racial animus against Jews. This election year has been fraught with dirty politics: name calling and racist rhetoric.

The ADL has been waiting since they were founded for something like this to happen to justify their existence. Their existence still isn't justified btw and they're basically a terrorist organization themselves.

Hate speech, political intolerance play a big role in motivating such heinous crimes. The root cause of political intolerance is lack of empathy amongst the various dissenting political, racial & religious groups. To defuse this threat, politicians ought to preach unity not hate.

Keep using the violence to your advantage, thank god these things happen so a tool like Greenblatt can justify his existence

There is hate everywhere. Im being hated on right now by the Jews but that wont make mainstream Media. Its still hate. The reason it makes mainstream Media is because it covers Jews. Media bias and the Jews should be ashamed. Especially for conspiring with the bastard Pete Brown.

“Social media creates its own realities for individuals, where people feed off the anonymity and tailor what they read and whom they speak with so that it can feel that everyone thinks and talks as you do. As much as this is distorting, it also can be empowering.” Very true.

We should all have a serious conversation about the media's reflexive coverage of trump's rhetoric—and what role if any it's playing in the spread of hate and violence.
