Following years and years of tax cuts by Republicans, to benefit the wealthy but in turn hurt education and other public services, something had to break sooner or later. #VoteOutGOP18

It’s not teachers’ job to advocate for more $ for students in public education. But thankfully they still do it because they care in Arizona & Colorado. British Columbia, Can teachers support you #redfored #teachersstrike #bced

We spend way to much on education for the results we get. Why don't they improve the results first, then we'll talk.

I don't get your way of thinking. It's like saying this car needs way too much fuel to drive long distances. First drive longer distances and after we can think about adding new fuel in the tank...

I have no clue what your car analogy means (probably a common core math thing) but let me try this old but very easy to understand point. We are not getting what we paid for so no I'm not for giving them more money just on the off chance they are gonna get better at it.

In that case you clearly seem to underestimate the investments needed for a proper education. Also, from this point on the returns will be much higher in value than the investments needed. It's solely smart to invest in education as it would benefit the country in the long term.

A smarter populace produces a brighter citizenry and a more efficient workforce. Investing in public education benefits society as a whole. Let's not stint on ourselves.

Such a great time to start these protests! Hopefully something will change since it's really important to have good educators. Hopefully this will end well and more people will start to become educators which will lead to higher quality of education.
