Wow. So much worse than I had been thinking. Thank you for providing this so NYT couldn't pretend it wasn't so bad. This company's products should not be supported. They are not with us, they are bad fakers, very firmly against a forward-thinking America.
Stop fucking up so much. America expects more of you.
I don't.
I spent the last three hours teaching my beautiful white children that they created jazz, and now you do this?
"Poorly framed" implies it was factually correct but ill-stated. It was not that. It was just plaid stupid and not even remotely accurate — I'm actually impressed by how off the mark it was.
Poorly framed is their apology. The original tweet was literally History rewriting and cultural theft.
I highly appreciate news organizations that retract mistakes and are straightforward with their apologies. This is one of many characteristics that sets the New York Times apart from less reputable news organizations. Thanks for your work making the world a more informed place
If that were true they wpuld not have tried to keep us from seeing what they did and describing it as a mere boo-boo. It actually reveals a mindset that wants to surreptitiously keep the status quo. Thank goodness other folks got screenshots.
Literally nothing changed except for the title they tweeted out, which used a quote from a musician out of context. The article had no mistakes and is exactly the same.
Poorly framed! Poorly framed are houses in Mexico Beach FFS. You people... I just can't
Ooooh now do the “but her emails” coverage
You mean those illegal emails that were criminally destroyed?
And you deleted the tweet announcing that you were deleting the tweet. Weird.
They are failing so badly that they have to delete their apology of another deletion! SAD!pic.twitter.com/aCaHsf6goq
It wasn't poorly framed. It was ill-informed. So...can just anyone get a job at the NYT now?
