In Opinion Op-Ed contributor Ari Berman writes, "In Georgia and other states, the question in this election is not just about which candidates voters will support, but whether they’ll be able to cast a ballot in the first place."https://nyti.ms/2D5MRBq

I’m slightly confused... are they saying that requiring state/verifiable identification to vote is a problem?

This. Must. Stop. Election Day should be a national holiday. ANY attempt to prevent ppl from voting should result in prison time. Integrity in our elections MUST BE UPHELD. #CitizensForElectionIntegrity

My personal favorite is the story that emerged today in Texas. Voting machines are changing peoples' votes and the state election commission doesn't think there is a problem.

Texas isn’t the only place that’s happening. We need several high profile arrests and trials with significant prison terms. That would be a great starting point. Secondly, the NYT could cover this in a real investigative expose instead of an op ed.

Voters coming from other countries should always be suppressed. Only US citizens can and should be allowed to vote. Those Democrats expecting the caravan to help them with illegal votes are going to be out of luck.

There is no voter suppression in Georgia nor anywhere else in the USA. Never has been in modern history and never will be. Voter suppression is a diversion by the Dems to divert attention the real problem of illegal voting - which is being encouraged by Dem candidates. MHO.

I am worried! Which means the candidates will vote for themselves and it's gonna be a categorical draw!

We've had that same question for a long time, it's nothing new. Whole groups of Americans have been denied the vote since our founding. Some of those have been fixed, some have just taken a different form of suppression. Why do we not have this basic right as an amendment?
