Federal regulators follow detailed scripts from the oil and gas industry about rolling back wildlife, air quality and groundwater protections as they auction off drilling rights for millions of acres of public land.https://nyti.ms/2O4RlcJ

I cannot help but think that everything else going on is designed to distract us from paying attention to the destruction of our environmental protections.

Well...no. It’s more about keeping T-Rump’s ass out of jail. The environmental devastation is simply a byproduct of his “nothing but money matters” guiding principle.

The anti-energy left overstates the risks to wildlife, airquality and groundwater as part of a scheme to keep US energy in the ground. It is a bad faith effort to run up the cost of energy to try to make less efficient alternative energy look more competitive

Corporate shills minimize the risks to line their own pockets. They are more numerous and considerably better funded. Pro-environmental protection is not anti-energy. Your argument is specious and indicative of either poor reasoning skills or ulterior motive.

Welcome to Trumpistan where industry and business officials write the scripts for government to follow on regulations and rules and then politicians and regulators collect their money for following it. We have the best government money can buy. They don't even pretend to care.

Gotta love the way he doesn't talk about solar on roofs of buildings that already exist. That's what's on the roof of my house and over the parking of the local schools. There doesn't need to be a whole lot of big solar farms, just better utilization of places we've already paved
