"We're surprised the Khashoggi case is getting so much attention while millions of Yemeni children are suffering," a doctor said. "Nobody gives a damn about them."https://nyti.ms/2D5PO52

One thing that needs to be made clear. The United States not only arms the Saudis to enable them to commit genocide, they also are part of the Saudi coalition blockading Yemen to prevent food and medicines from entering the country. The US is totally complicit in genocide.
-
But the big thing stopping the US from abandoning Saudi Arabia is the Trump family and especially Jared Kushner.https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/nov/19/the-observer-view-on-saudi-arabia-the-us-and-yemen …

That's what you do. Saudi planes you sold her guns, but she didn't talk to her. There are children dying now, the President of the United States must stop this war.pic.twitter.com/7YWjdgs528

Facebook deleted a friend’s post with this link and told her the contents offended FB’s “standards of decency.” What Saudi Arabia is doing in Yemen offends my standards of decency.
-
That’s because Facebook can’t make money off those posts.

You're publishing photos of Yemeni children now because you're journalists? What were you during the previous 3 years of this genocide? Also, it's not just "Saudi Arabia's war," it also belongs to the US.
-
The UK is also complicit selling blood soaked arms to the Saudi's

Why... why why why? We are all human we should all be equal. I feel so powerless to change this and I want to so so much

-
It's such a horrifying thing! I really don't get why stuff like this need to happen? It's not even that they don't do anything to make the suffering stop. We actually make them suffer. On purpose

I can’t look at these pictures. They make me sick. The war in Yemen is having a profound impact on innocent civilians, especially the children. The UN should intervene. This is a humanitarian issue.

Why do you feel you have to apologise for reporting the news? That’s your job. Apologise for failing to report it earlier.
-
Because good and responsibly journalists respect and care about these children‘s privacy! Thank you NYT for the right decision unchristlich case

-
They published the photos so clearly they felt it was right to do so. So, why did it take so long? Do you realise how long this massacre has been going on?
-
I’m not sure. Perhaps they deliberated on whether the use of dead children and horribly injured kids would be morally wrong. Just like how journalists SHOULDNT publish names of dead until the next of kin have been notified. (This isn’t a sarcastic post)
-
They deliberated for 3 years and suddenly decided it was fine yesterday. Ok then.
-
They and the rest of the media should have been reporting on the
#YemenGenocide for the last 3 years but didn’t. Why now all of a sudden? -
Probably ran out of things to report on, so someone probably just dug through world events in their desk. “Oh, look, here’s some stuff about some mass killings we reported several months ago.”
