You seriously suggest that eating street food in Singapore is a good idea? I gather that you have never actually been there.

It is a VERY good idea. Fantastic food, awesome variety, great prices.

Yes. It's great if you like to risk diarrhea and the rest of the occasional after-effects. I had several such episodes before I decided to only stick to restaurants only. There are some VERY good restaurants.

WTF? Singapore has probably the safest Street food in Asia. I've lived here over a decade now and I can't remember once getting ill from it.

Amazing. Then all those warnings provided by Medical Travel Insurers are wrong. Hey, perhaps you'd better tell them. Some people get lucky in many Asian areas. India is another one. They call it Delhi Belly over there.

You can't compare Delhi Street food safety to Singapore, they are in different worlds. Singapore's hawker centres - there is no Street food - are safe to eat & checked regularly by the government. It's known as one of the safest food places for a reason. Do show us these warnings

I can and will continue to do so. There is nothing magical about street for in one area than another. Without refrigerated handling and storing, staff hygiene etc., there is always a risk. I prefer to avoid the risk. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! (Where are you Will Smith?)

But that's the damn point, the food in Singapore is under strict rules about storage, cleanliness, etc. You cannot compare between countries that are strict like this and places that aren't. There is no warning about Singapore food apart from common sense.

Window shop on Orchard St and eat piles of cheap pad thai or vietnamese noodles at the food court. Most everyone speaks English or enough English. Take the ferry to Jurong Bird Park.

Do not support Islam anywhere any place. It is a violent totalitarian supremacist cult that obtains and retains followers with violent coercion including death per Allah Quran and Muhammad.
