Blistering verbal assaults overtook the race for Florida governor. “I’m not calling Mr. DeSantis a racist. I’m simply saying the racists believe he’s a racist," said Andrew Gillum about his rival, Ron DeSantis.https://nyti.ms/2D4bSx8

Only racists inject race into non racial issues. gillum is the racist here.

Except that DeSantis brought it in. Gillum just addressed it.

Nice try. Gillum has been playing the race card all along. Most desperate dems do.

Yep. He was totally behind the robo calls, or DeSantis taking money from white supremacists. Or DeSantis making racist comments. Plus. Gillum is right. Racists think DeSantis is racist. Whether he is or not isnt the issue. Stop pretending racism isnt real.

I have to agree. The left (the "Racists") think DeSantis is racist.

DeSantis is an asshole, but Gillum is a liar who covers up his corruption & bribery with accusations of racism. Both are deplorable people. The omission of third party candidates from debates is criminal. It is journalistic malpractice. It is undemocratic. It is unamerican.

And my vote for one of the excluded-from-debates choices on my ballot was/is a message. @OpenTheDebates or get used to it. If it's on my ballot I want to hear from it, and as seen here I'm perfectly-willing for my "wasted" vote to be an enforcement mechanism to finally get that.

There's no such thing as a "wasted vote". To say any vote is a wasted vote goes against everything about democracy and America, and the accusations largely come from the people who scream loudest about the importance of voting. Assholes, all of them.

Indeed. My 1988 vote for @RonPaul has magically transmogrified from "protest" to prescient since then.

When you're exposed as under investigation by the FBI, and the world heard you lie about it on TV two days ago, the only thing left to do is to call your opponent a racist. @AndrewGillum is finished.

It was tickets to Hamilton? And Gillum repaid the debt, correct? DeSantis however declined to repay white nationalist contributions to his campaign & even knowingly made speeches for them. Keep acting like @RepDeSantis has a high horse to sit upon; he’ll be thrown soon.

Exactly right! He repaid the debt and in today's political environment who cares about tickets when you have a president saying it's ok to assault women. Conservative hypocrites is what they are.

Clutching my pearls! Omg Broadway tickets, how will the US recover! Btw @AndrewGillum paid the debt back. (Ryan Zinke spent over $150 million on first class flights in a year as head of EPA. Mar a Lago costs millions to secure, daily. But keep worrying about Hamilton tix)
