Thanks for the coverage #NYT! This was a really fun project for us and it’s great to see so much public interest in healthy lifestyle.

Awesome! Will tell that to my family full of the Alzheimer's gene--walk your dog for a few minutes a day.

Neither article, nor the part of the paper available on this side of the paywall give indication of effect size and duration. Not to discourage anyone from going for a walk, but without at least a figure comparing control to treatment the article is meaningless.

Here’s the figure with the behavioral results. This shows the individual data points and these are within-subject analyses (every subject serves as his or her own control). Let me know if you have any questions or DM for a full copy of the paper.pic.twitter.com/ZUZeHXBqYG

This is actually super helpful. A simplified variant on fig (B) and (C) would have gone really well with the article.

The more physical movement, the better! Aging starts when you slow down and become sedentary. #keepmoving

Everyone should take time to regenerate their lives by spending it on moments that make healthy bodies and memories. Exercises of mental relaxation, physical fitness and just spending time with someone who makes you happy and content. Take time for you outside of your workday.
