Lavender has purported healing powers for reducing stress and anxiety. There may actually be some science to support it.https://nyti.ms/2D6c3Ys

Hey @afsfolklorists @AFSNewFolklore, let's maybe convince major news outlets not to use the "folk" qualifier to mean, essentially, B.S.?

Right. And more importantly, dismissing things that ordinary people think and do as nonsense is a problematic stance, start to finish. "Folk" doesn't mean "false" or "wrong," @nytimes.

"Just" folk medicine? Maybe let's talk to some folklorists about this! The modifier "folk" does not mean "false" or "quaint" or "misinformed". #FolkloreThursday

"Just folk medicine"?? Really, @nytimes? Talk to a folklorist before engaging in reductionist thinking and writing.
