6,000 U.S. sports fans were asked to name their favorite athletes. Only 3 baseball players made the list: Babe Ruth, Pete Rose and Derek Jeter.https://nyti.ms/2D4byyb

Baseball is a team game, basketball was as well until Michael Jordan came along and ruined it. Please stop trying to run baseball. Stuck to disparaging articles about trump. It's your bread and butter.

I understand your point, but Jordan was a team player! He didn’t start winning until he had a good team around him and Phil Jackson coaching. If he had stopped playing in 1991, then maybe.

Very true, Bill. You and i have enough gray hairs to remember those Celtic and laker juggernauts. Greatest team play of all time imo. I appreciate that MLB is still a bastion of that lost art.

Why dont you ask people who are fans of baseball? 95%of the people you asked could have easily been more of a football fan than a baseball fan, therefore they are biased to say a football player. You need a better control group to base this on, otherwise it's just lazy Journalism

Few care about baseball outside of regional fans, and the Yankees are the largest fan base.
