In a letter, Sandra Day O'Connor called for a renewed commitment to nonpartisan values, one that requires "putting country and the common good above party and self-interest, and holding our key governmental institutions accountable"https://nyti.ms/2D1XbKD

Most touching part of her letter was where she noted: "I liked beer. I still like beer."

Her mind is clear, her eyes still sharp! My respect for the woman! America should listen to her. At least when it comes to ending the polarisation.

Where was her bipartisan concern when she foiced GWB upon us. That was a judicial coup

Putting the country first and finding the common good is NOT a bipartisan value. The Trump Republicans party has left that in the dustbin. It is solely in the purview of the Democratic Party and independents, so please stop calling for “bipartisanship.”

John Stuart Mill was big on this too, back in the day … but it required an active/engaged/informed citizenship … don't get angry, get active... 😉

It's ironic when there's a disaster everybody comes together in this country. When everything is fine we divide into groups and grab each other's throats.

Unfortunately, we are seeing a POtuS that preys on our citizens with hateful rhetoric and fear mongering. Ill informed and weak minded individuals are not interested in solutions and choose to cheer for someone that doesn't have their best interests in mind.
