God, @DeanBaquet, have you learned nothing? Answer: Yes. Your paper could not be doing a worse job. You're still focusing on the politics of talking points rather than on the substance of issues. How can you be this awful at such an important moment in history? Do better!

Glad to hear that, Keith. Dean Baquet's terrible performance needs to have tangibly negative consequences for him and the NYT.

How many caravans have there been before and it didn’t get this coverage? You are pumping this up again. Do your job and stop with the drama. Why the people are leaving their homelands should be the news, not party politics.

It would be super cool if you 1) stopped talking about it 2) called them asylum seekers or refugees 3) stopped platforming racists and nationalists 4) called out the GOP on their lies I mean pick one, that would be great.

We tried to house Syrian families in 2015 but the bureaucracy makes it incredibly difficult. But yeah. We have plenty of room. Or they could stay in any of the ~18 million unoccupied homes in the US. Do you have a real argument besides you hate brown people?

Not at all. I have co-workers who tried to stay on Visas and the lawful way and had to go home. Children should be given 1st priority.

So there aren't children in the group of refugees coming to the US? Again, we have more than enough room for 7,000 people. Or seventy times that.
