At a protest on the steps of the Georgia Capitol in 1992, Stacey Abrams joined in the burning of the state flag, which at the time incorporated the Confederate battle flag designhttps://nyti.ms/2CXofL6

So, 26 yrs ago, a woman who is likely a descendant of people enslaved and oppressed, then subjected to segregation and bigotry, joined others in destroying a symbol of that history? I'm a white woman, but I'd have handed her a zippo lighter.

So what you’re saying is that Stacey Abrams has been on the correct side of history for a long time? In what other circumstance do we venerate traitors and their symbols?

GA changed it's flag in 2001. Abrams was burning the flag w/ the confederate battle flag in its design. The @nytimes cannot resist putting its thumb on the scale for white nationalism. This is disgusting.

Abrams should be investigated for her role in voter registration fraud, which was CONFIRMED through an independent review of the controversial “Pending List.” Her group, New Georgia Project, has been positively implicated. I bet you didn't know that, right? Shocking.

Exactly the kind of response i'd expect from a liberal without a cogent rebuttal. Remain ignorant. Matters not one iota to me.

Again, NYT proves itself complicit by reporting more on this than the rampant voter suppression being implemented by the man who is both running in AND overseeing these elections.
