By all means call a former Fed Reserve chairman who steered the US monetary system well (as opposed to 'markets self-correct' Alan Greenspan) Captain Obvious.

The inevitable result of almost 40 years of worship of the successful businessman. Reminiscent of Louis XIV. The elimination of the threat of communism created Guilded Age 2.0. White collar crime = fines rather than prison. Its a depraved age of elite myopia and arrogance.

Preach Paul Volcker. Preach. Where's the re-enactment of the Glass-Steagall Act? Same place as the 10% middle class tax cut: Pre-election Promiseland/Post-Election Nowhereland. In fact, there's not only no financial reform: the GOP has gone all in with self-profit at every level.

Well, that's just f-cking ignorant. Taxes are the dues you pay to live in a civilized society. Taxes pay for roads & schools & police & fire & libraries & hospitals & sport/concert venues & parks & public transportation & the military & they subsidize your fuel & food costs, etc.

They also go to subsidize businesses, foreign aid, invading other countries, and many other wastes that I don’t agree with so while some of the things they do with taxes are good it isn’t enough to create a positive feel good feeling when I see them taking money out of my pay

And I don't like the wars & waste either, but that's not a reason to cut taxes. That's the reason you get involved & tell your reps what you want.

😄 I have had work I enjoyed & work I didn't. Sadly, the most fulfilling work I ever did paid the least...really wish we could get our priorities straight in this country. Caretakers are invaluable, but the pay is sh!t.

Voter suppression is amped up in 2018 & should be covered by @NYTimes @CNNPR @MSNBCPR @NBCNews @CBSNews @AP @NewsHour @NPR et al because we know if the #BlueWave succeeds, Trump will call it rigged, when in fact, rigging was done by Republican plutocrats.
