I started going grey aged 14 and stopped dyeing my hair about four years ago, aged 34. I shaved my head, raised tons for charity and just let it grow back. My hair is so much better for not being pummelled by chemicals. Bizarrely, people think it's dyed, which says a lot.

My husband calls my grey “highlights.” I tally up the money and time saved and call it a bonus.

It took me 10 years to persuade my wife to go silver (not gray). Her first haircut displaying the silver was a hit with everyone who met her. Strangers tell her what lovely hair she has. The freedom allows her creativity to grow.

I'm the 3rd of 4 sisters and the only one who still never dyed. I get a lot of compliments on my hair, which is fast approaching about 1/3 gray. Attitude ( and a good cut!) is everything- rock it!

I went grey really young and always dyed my hair, in my 30’s I stopped and was happy about it . Then at 40 I had my 2nd child and people kept thinking I was the gran . I started dying it again and the comments stopped. People are mean

It’s ok when you are young because it gives a nice contrast. When you are 60 and looks like 75, you ll go back to the bottle lady (or go Garbo)
