U.S. businesses and universities are worried that, unless policies change, they will have trouble attracting the talent needed to build quantum technology, which could make old computers look like toyshttps://nyti.ms/2CYsx4W

        1. Forget about attracting new talent, worried for keeping existing talent. I am in USA from June 2007 on work Visa, for any reason if I forced to self deport (h1 extension denied), I will take away my experience and saving money with me and start competing with USA.

        2. Since I came legally and paid tax for 11+ years, I have 40+ ssn credit. For any reason if forced to self deport (h1 extension denied), at retirement age i can claim that money. Also my son is USA citizen, he will be also forced to leave other countrie. #HR392 #s281 #DALCA

it is not obvious to them that giving green card to Europeans in less than year while denying those from India for 10 years and deporting their US citizen kids.. is a huge double discrimination.. u r trying to save a job that w/o discrimination/wait wud already be with a GC guy

No one from Montreal, London, Paris and Beijing would be able to migrate to US if #HR392 passes. It is an anti-immigrant bill currently before the Congress. Stop it!

Family-based #FB migration, making >800k #GC/year, is NOT affected by #HR392 #S281. Additionally, many #workers born in #GCbacklog countries but raised in Montreal, London, Paris and Beijing who are working and contributing to #US will be benefited with this PRO-MERIT bill.

This article about researchers, and engineers immigration not family migration. Stop tribal thinking you only care about one nation (even among those raised in Montreal) and NOT US interests.

It is in the interest of #US to RETAIN those who have commanded HIGHER salaries than the rest of the workers. Who come in that category? #workers from #GCBacklog nations like #India and #China! https://twitter.com/David_J_Bier/status/1054747753790746624 … #HR392 #S281 is NOT tribal thinking, it is CAPITALISM!

The wage offers for EB2-EB3 Indians and Chinese are higher in all but one of the top 30 states for labor certifications (where 97% of them are filed). They are higher in all of the top nine states (where 75% are filed). This explanation simply doesn't work. pic.twitter.com/U3Z6K2EJGd
