Six Prime Ministers in eight years tho

It's not as big of a deal as it seems. We don't vote for the PM we vote for the party. Still frustrating as hell though.
-
Does have the advantage of when an absolute numpty gets through the system we have a way of dealing with it mid-cycle

We’ve also had 7 prime ministers in 11 years. So there’s that.
-
Because we love a democracy sausage.
-
But we don’t get one when they change leaders without an election - proof if ever it were needed that what they do is not democratic!

-
True. If there is no sausage, there is no democracy.
-
You said it. Sausage = Democracy.

Been saying this for years. Also, Election Day should be Election Weekend.
-
A lot people in the service industry have work on the weekends. And we are never going to require anyone to pay someone, even if it’s a national holiday (lots of hourly workers do not get paid federal holidays). I’m all for it if we want to make sure that people are paid.

If you’re in the service sector, weekends. The very people we want to vote! I’m a lot more in favor of mail-in ballots or online voting. And make no mistake, I treat voting as a party here. We take off work and school. But we have the income that it doesn’t hurt us financially.
