Those Red States would be come economically depressed areas without California. And... when the Republican party has finally driven the last nail into Uncle Sam's coffin, we can all move to California and it will still be one of the best countries in the world.

Another tired “by asserting progressive values, the Democrats are only antagonizing the otherwise decent, mild-mannered Republicans” take.

The otherwise decent republicans aren’t otherwise or decent. They want to raise our taxes to finance tax cuts for their rich corporate billionaire lobbyists. And then steal our social security and healthcare.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but these are the poorest states in America and their representatives: Tennessee (R) Utah (R) Louisiana (R) South Carolina (R) Idaho (R) Kentucky (R) New Mexico (D/R) Alabama (D/R) Arkansas (R) West Virginia (R) Mississippi (R) Coincidence?

The people who live in these flyover states need to get over their jealousy of how progressive policies have made California one of the largest GDPs in the world. If they got over their hatred and dropped their outdated, backwards beliefs then maybe they wouldn't be irrelevant
