In Opinion Op-Ed contributor @JennyBoylan writes: "I do exist. Trans men and women exist. Genderqueer people exist. We have been part of this country for hundreds of years — since before the Revolution, in fact. Redefining us won’t make us go away."https://nyti.ms/2CXlf1k

MAGAs: Jennifer wrote about this because our government is trying to make her life harder in order to keep people like you wound up.* Stop falling for it. Treating a transgender person like any other American has exactly zero impact on your life. Bigotry, OTOH, hurts us all.

*-And MAYbe Trump is freaked out by transgender people--which is rich, given what we know about his sex life.

Let's not use that word. It's not necessary, is it? It's pretty derogatory.

Its the LGBT community who is trying and failing at redefining the science of gender. The law requires common sense, and LGBT's fail there too.

At the end it is really science. Both biological and psychological. One is defined by DNA the other one by psychological disorders. The problem with gender disforia is not only societies acceptance but the constant struggle with your own biology that no surgery can change.

        2) We are to respect people whether we agree with them or not. We choose the company we keep. If you don't like someone's beliefs, don't be their friend. But come to the table with understanding. Something that seems to be in great lack these days.

No, George--you need help. Seriously, I'm curious: What's it to you? How is your life affected by transgender people? How is it any of your business? Why should you care?

Of course you exist. You just can’t change your gender. Wishing it weren’t so doesn’t make that fact go away.

She did change it, though. Jennifer has all the lady parts--not that it's any of your business. It's typical, though, that someone whose screen name is "Life and Liberty" would curtail the liberty of others if he could.

He’s got every right to have any amount of surgery on his body that he wants. He can take all of the hormones he wants. I wouldn’t recommend either, but it’s up to him. He may even eventually look like a woman. Unfortunately though, after all this, he’s still male.

This is such a bogus article. Obama changed the rules that gender was a choice and not decided at birth. Trump is sayng gender is determined at birth: male or female for the sole purpose of the Civil Rights Act which also prohibits discrimination based on "sexual orientation."
