What kind of question is this? Like Wall Street, it must be *regulated*. To quote Matt Taibbi, it’s another “great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money.” @karaswisher

The question is who will force them to be ethical. The fact you think they could be taught to be ethical shows your ignorance.

When there are issues of moral hazard industries often have to be forced to be ethical. The tech sector is no different than Wall St, they both hold an almost unimaginable amount of power.

We have a president that needs ethics on phonics first. We’ll get to Silicon Valley later.

Strictly speaking, they’ve been around close to the same amount of time. Trump hasn’t been President very long; he’s always been unethical. Business in general will only be ethical when required by law & then only when it’s enforced. Unlikely in today’s political environment
