More than ever before, we're forming meaningful relationships with virtual strangers. But what happens when the person on the other side of the screen dies?https://nyti.ms/2CG2GOZ

Relevant article for many on South African Twitter, who were cyber-friends with, or followed by much-admired @yachtheodore. I recall feeling deeply disturbed for a long time, years back, when a fellow-tweep died by suicide.

A loss is a loss. Some people also cannot understand grief over losing a pet, or the grief people experience when someone famous—that they admired from afar—dies (e.g. there was heaps of grief over the passing of Michael Jackson).

In some Asian countries, grieving is deep and real. Why here grieving is just one hour...Oh there's a fake grieving. A show up. Thank you.
