The Great America app, created by a pro-Trump PAC, mixes enthusiastic posts about the president and photos of puppies with anti-immigrant memes like "Today’s illegals, tomorrow’s Democrats."https://nyti.ms/2Ak8hrQ

The Great America app also hosts a ritual called "Fake News Friday," in which it awards "Trump points" to users who post liberal-bashing, mainstream-media-trashing memes.https://nyti.ms/2Ak8hrQ

uCampaign is also mentioned in the UK Parliament Select Committee interim report on its links to AggregateIQ and Cambridge Analytica. https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm201719/cmselect/cmcumeds/363/363.pdf …pic.twitter.com/hrOrrfIHQG

In other words, people created a platform, in the private sector, that will act as a competitor to the biased social media outlets we have today. How dare they participate in a free market and uphold the right to free speech! This post is laughable...

No, the fear is that if all conservatives leave the main social media, they will be in their own isolated information silo where they can be manipulated more easily. The rest of us will just be left with Russian trolls and no conservatives to correct us.

While I would not go on a platform with the idea to be amongst people with the same thoughts, I do not see how this is any different from FB, Twitter, or Instagram.

On Twitter, at least, you can follow a variety of different kinds of people and see different viewpoints. Alternatively, you can follow just people you already agree with and be in as deep and dark a silo as anywhere else. Thanks for engaging.

That’s very true. I stand by my original comment. However, like I said, I would not join, only because I like engaging with people with differing opinions. It’s how we grow. Thank you for being polite and engaging!
