Grades, test scores, intended major, personality ratings, ethnicity — all the various factors that can help turn an anonymous high schooler into a Harvard student were dissected for all to see this weekhttps://nyti.ms/2yKNdZI

My biggest issue with Harvard's process is not so much that they use race as a factor in deciding admissions (though I am very much against that), but rather that the admissions office consistently bestowed low personality scores on Asian-Americans. That is horribly wrong.

It keeps alive the false stereotype of Asians not being any fun and not contributing to a positive and enjoyable atmosphere on campus. I mean, that's extreme racism right there. It's awful to think that a person would be judged like that based off nothing more than their race.

Seems they care less about excellence in education than they do for the diversity of students and graduates. How low do you have to set your standards to achieve such a goal? Meritocracy & academic excellence don't care about your feelings and can never be racist.

Get real. But I agree very low bar. Ever since this administration a lot of sunshine has been lit on Ivy League schools. They are graduating a lot of dumb dumbs.

I think it’s smart for an institution to want diversity in their student body. Sometimes it’s the soft skills and intangibles that make the difference. #lifesnotfair

The Republicans who brought this lawsuit to try and kill affirmative action didn't say a word about legacy admissions or big donor admissions. I wonder why they cherry picked admissions decisions. Hmmm 🤔

I never thought of the Harvard admissions process as being a secret. That's how I knew that I didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of being admitted to Harvard.

Racists defend the use of racism when it befits them. One does not field an NBA team with players based on diversity or inclusion but on merit, skill & talent, dedication to excellence - factors having nothing to do with race. Using race as criteria is racist - period!

Legacy + “Sparse” country + Athletics + Interviews + Donors + “Personal” Rating + (Grades + SAT) — the whole process appears skewed toward.... (it’s an enigma, I tell you 😎). Imagine the poor clods who kept thinking the typo in their essay screwed up their chances.
