Ahead of Brazil’s presidential election, millions of Brazilian WhatsApp users have been deluged with political messages that contain disinformation. A study of 100,000 WhatsApp images found more than half contained misleading or flatly false information.https://nyti.ms/2CVB3Sj

It’s not true. The leading candidate has suffered a murder attempt under very unexplained circumstances. Why not cover that story instead?

Vou deixar se seguir esse jornal. Não entendi o que ele quer dizer com isso. Sem uma base sólida tenta intervir nas eleições comum discurso que parece formulado com parcialidade ridícula. O Brasil quer mudar. Não aceita mais corrupção. Não venha tentar manter correntes nas mãos.

Where there’s smoke 💨 — there is 🔥. It’s probably more. Investigate more. Brazil’s Parliamentarians should immediately do what was done in America, and demand that Facebook’s representative in Brazil come to public hearing — and investigate possible conclusion.

He’ll be president by the time the investigators realize the extent of the crime — this is likely only the tip of the iceberg! It is only a piece of a much larger (more global) right-wing nationalist movement.

Social Media companies must be questioned, and if they broke laws so that a particular candidate could get can advantage over another — these companies should be held accountable for undermining the law, and for helping to assist in the undermining of the will of the people!

This is exactly how right-wing nationalist groups - aided by Russia 🇷🇺 helped dictator candidates in Africa https://www.voanews.com/a/cambridge-analytica-played-roles-in-multiple-african-elections/4309792.html … and then helped Trump win the election in the United States.
