Bill Lee, Harvard’s lead lawyer in a discrimination case against the university, described being the only Asian-American lawyer in the courtroom when he started out 42 years ago. Discrimination, he said, is “something I have lived.”https://nyti.ms/2yIqzkK

If (as I say if) someday African Black people are much more rich than white people, they may also discriminate white people(and the world will allow it ). It is dirty human nature.

I’m Asian-American. I support affirmative action. Diversity and inclusion benefit all of society not just the direct beneficiaries.

All the more reason to empathize with the Asians who are discriminated against by Harvard.

Most gullible line ever in the NYT : « Harvard has testified that race, when considered in admissions, can only help, not hurt, a student’s chances of getting in. »

I think everyone misses the point here. Why limit minorities in Harvard applications to just 30% (20%A, 10%B & L) and not limit the whites (70%). U mean a white applicant bested an Asian who aced 17 AP classes and No.1 in class? C'mon. Affirmative Action is not working.

Asians/Southeast Asians and East Asians represent a small percentage of the U.S. population why should they represent a bigger percentage at Harvard. The same should apply to Polish Americans, Scottish, German,English, Scottish Americans. Asians ignore 200 yrs of slavery.

How stupid can you be? Harvard already reported that if Academics alone is the basis, everyone in Harvard would be Asians. Truly you are not reading. Simple, Asians are very bright people ahead of other people - hence they get discriminated.

But, I do agree that Ethiopians or african immigrants should not be considered African americans. Also, german americans should be separated from Polish americans for quotos. Also, East Asians should be quoto different than Asians or Southeast asians, they are not the same.

Asian Americans need to take their fight up with European americans, not african americans. They have no respect for our 200+ year slave history! But, I do agree that Ethiopians or african immigrants should not be considered African americans. Also, german americans should be,
