Tarana Burke founded the original Me Too movement more than a decade ago. In the year since the movement upended entertainment and politics, she has been working to ensure that #MeToo doesn’t lose sight of its mission.https://nyti.ms/2yEkUfv

The movement lost sight of its mission when they started embracing false accusers and giving them a platform.

It wasn't just false accusers. It was clear by last January that it became an anti-men movement when accusations of consensual activity or just being a jerk got lumped in. Blame @FullFrontalSamB for putting the nail in #metoo movement's coffin.https://youtu.be/II-OP6vdMs8

For the good its done, lets never forget the victims of false accusations, nor should we ever forget those who have lost their lives due to suicide due from being falsely accused, all victims matter, and none should ever be disgarded.

It looks like it’s been hijacked as a political movement, and is no longer a survivors’ movement at all.

Right, from being a movement created to bring sexual assaulters to the forefront to being a nasty vindictive man-hating movement that says "believe all women" and BTW doesn't care about due process and is quick to destroy a man's reputation and career.

That is called gaining knowledge. Evolution of ideas is a figure of speech.

Thank You for the grammar lesson, people having nothing to say usually retorts to that eventually. And obviously You haven't evolved enough to understand the figure of speech!

That was not a correction in grammar. That was a connection in linguistics. You don't use the figure of speech as facts. That is just dumb. It's raining cats and dogs doesn't mean cats and dogs are raining.

Good article. The only problem is that she's looking to Hollywood to better represent the image of the movement. What metoo taught me is that Hollywood isn't worth shit & should never be relied upon.
