The very concept of ADVERTISING prescription drugs is appalling...

Genuinely curious here. Why? People struggle with stuff and buy fixes. We're a capitalist nation so it only makes sense for those fixes to advertise.

Because prescription means a doc needs to write you a "he NEEDS it" paper. What you "WANT" because you saw an add should not matter.

I don't mind saying this Dem agrees with this one if it goes far enough. I once paid $90 for a drug I could have gotten for $18 with a coupon from discount Rx websites. When I discovered this, my pharmacist said she knew but wasn't allowed to tell customers about it.

Not arguin' with ya. My husband is a British expat. Experiences of various in-laws, and what I saw for myself while spending extended periods there, convinced me it's a better system. Not perfect, but better.

I'm sorry there are forces trying to undermine "the pride of Britain." Why anyone would want to privatize medicine, with us as a glaring example of the dangers, is beyond me.

I freakin' love this President. For the first time in my life we have a President that is looking out for the American People, and not the degenerate money-lenders and globalist scum that sees the people as cattle to be exploited. @realDonaldTrump

While I agree with this new rule if you are worried about “globalists” and “money-lenders” being given preference than this is not the administration for you. Who do you think benefited from the tax cuts?

While a step in the right direction, as a people we need to be asking why prescription drugs are being advertised at all. If I have an illness, my doctor should be prescribing a drug to help me if deemed warranted. 1/

Disclosing the price on their commercials won't help a damn person. LOWERING THEIR COST WILL! Stop showing constant prescription drug ads!

2/ I should not be able to walk in to dr. and request drugs I saw on TV that may or may not help me, which are still subject to dr. scrutiny and approval. Tobacco ads banned, ex drug ads should be next. End.
