Has anyone ever changed their political mind over a sign, bumper sticker, or TV ad? Why are we giving them 10s of millions of dollars to waste?

I think it's less about changing minds than it is getting people to have a reason to go out and vote.
-
I think a better candidate could get people to the polls based on their ideas. If you have to coerce your constituents you may not be the best person for the job.
-
The point being that it is very difficult to get people to be aware of who you are and what your ideas are to begin with. Americans are pretty bad at civic engagement. Though I'm sure we agree that preposterous amounts of money is the absolute worst way to go about fixing it.
-
Totally agree. My hopes are that social media can help people discover lesser known candidates who refuse funding. A share to their friends and family is worth more than a sticker on a Miata.

Money money money. Seriously, is there anything else which gets anywhere near its importance to you in the US?

I love how the liberal media, which always rail against money in politics, also always tout every Dem fundraising lead.
