My first sewing machine, my dad’s tools, washer & dryer...the 70s were ‘big purchase’ Sears in my house.

Once upon a time Sears was the leader in mail order everything. Then they went to brick & mortar. Ironic how mail order is now what has now killed Sears.

Save Sears, it became part of Americana by being a mail order house, go back to your roots, order and deliver! As a kid I got my first bike, dog and gun from a Sears catalog, bring it back.

Sears Canada defrauded all of it's employees out of their Pensions while their Board of Directors continue to receive payments lording over a liquidation. While all losses are of course life changing most noteworthy is Peter Myers (@pulmyears & Mike Myers bro) a 35 yr employee.

We have lots of healthy Sears in México (not owned by the American Sears, of course).

I’m really upset about this @Sears was the place to go to for my parents & me in many ways. It was a big deal in México 🇲🇽 also; so elegant and nicely presented, way better than here. It would look like a fancy store. Hope they come back with better management. @Sears

A grocery store that also sells the refrigerator! Buy groceries to earns points for new appliances or home furnishings. #Sears is missing a key critical success factor in today’s big store world. You do understand, I hope, that Lands End was a huge favorite with the middle class long before Sears bought it. In fact that was WHY Sears bought it. Their clothing offerings had degenerated and nobody was buying. Now, like Craftsman, the name will be spun off elsewhere.
