Growing up, the annual Sears Christmas catalog was a very popular publication. It was great to read and wish, and when the holidays were over, it got put in the outhouse for toilet paper. Yeah, I'm old as fuck...

Sears failed to innovate as consumers found a new way to shop in PJs. But I might have guessed that a crony of one of Trump's cronies would be among the firing squad.

It was part of our lives growing up, we couldn't wait for the Christmas catalog to come out so we could browse it and dream of all of the stuff that we would never get 'cause our family couldn't afford to buy it. We loved it just the same, if we were lucky we got that one special

I'm really surprised they lasted as long as they did, but that probably has something to do with how many of their assets have been sold off. Nevertheless, I have fond memories of going to Sears when I was a child.

Sears was the Walmart of its time. Actually. It was way better than today's big box stores. Today's stores offer horrible cust serv & cheap products that they charge high prices while doing it with a straight face. #MondayMorning

Then they dismantled it and threw all those employees out. (My husband was one of them) They tried to make Sears into something it wasn’t.
